Melyssa's love for all things interiors has been around for as long as she can remember - as far back as when she was a little girl constantly rearranging her Barbie Dream House furniture until she had the ultimate floor plan!! Her career into design sparked after purchasing her first home in Mahwah, NJ , where she started the design process herself with a major home renovation where she really got to put her design skills to the test. With that journey grew a passion. Melyssa’s belief is that great design begins with a comprehensive understanding of clients’ needs and expectations. Her ability to develop client relationships based on respect, trust, and confidence has been the key to her success as a designer. Skilled at creating beautiful designs under a variety of budgets, styles, timeframes, and requirements, Melyssa guides her clients through every phase of the design process. She remains committed to cultivating valued relationships and helping clients reach the best version of their overall vision. From first discovery meeting to the final installation, she works one on one with clients, learning about their lifestyles and the specific features they want that reflect their personal style, while also being consistent with the integrity and footprint of the space. From space planning to choosing color palettes, surface materials, and furnishings, she guides clients through the process so that they understand the value of professional interior design as an applied art and a practical investment. In her spare time, Melyssa enjoys spending time with her teenage children, friends and family, teaching a Pilates or Barre class, as well as traveling for experiences and design inspiration.
